Dan Bohr began racing in 1981 on the circuits of LaCrosse fairgrounds speedway in the asphalt scene. His views changed by 1985 as he started to rattle the cages of the locals at Fayette Co. Speedway and Independence Motor Speedway. By 1987 he was a driving force on the track. Rough guessing puts a whopping 24 feature wins on the books during that season between both tracks racing in the modified street stock division. That season brought 2 track championships to the table. The following season wasn't quite as exciting but did produce 2 more championships.
